Some people just aren't made for webdesign. And others rae, they just don't do good things with it. So, here are some tips that can help you with your website!

(first impression) It's going to seem like I am writing a checklist for reviews, but I'm not. First impression is something that every has an opinion for your site. Have you ever gone to a website and the layout and enter page was ugly, it was unorganized and it just wasn't worth looking at? Well, that's first impression. Sometimes people have fabulous websites, but the first impression you have on the website just makes you want to leave. First impression is everything.
(layout) Your layout. . . Is liike a first impression. If you have an ugly layout, no one will want to come and visit your website. Don't make layouts with MS Paint other horrible programs that don't make very good layouts. Use proper programs like Paint Sop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Gimp and there's more, but I don't know that many! If you can't afford the programs like Photoshop or PSP, try Gimp or go to PAINT.COM.
(content) Content is the #1 thing that a visitor will come back for. If you have crappy graphics, visitors most likely won't come back. Again, use the proper program for that! Now, now, some websites are just for blogs. Then blog about interesting things. If you want people to come back don't just put site updates, but also things that go on in your life. Stuff like that's interesting too!
(typing) Don't you just hate it when you can't understand what's going on? That's what it's like for other people when people type like this:
Du U lYk3 mY w3bSyT3 ?! or Yo d@Wg! Wuz^ hOmMi3 ?
It's annoying and no one wants to have to decode a website to view it. Most people will just leave your website when they see that!
(site name) When picking a site name make it nice and easy to remember. Usually people pick something that means alot to them, they like the way it sounds or it's from a song / quote, ect. Remember, make it simple! No one likes a site name like:
x0x-PrInC3sS-In-tRaInInG-5632987
because it's to long and hard to remember. Try to stay away from using numbers (well, more than 2) and 'xox'
(ect) I probably forgot somethings, but I will come back to write them :)

More tips!

Every site has them, so I guess that there's really no point in writing them once again, for the millionth time on the web. Here goes.

001. Eww, never, ever, put glitters on your website! Unless it's just like one page, for distribution. For the homepage, that's just plain tacky.
002. If you don't have a proper graphics program, please, don't try to make graphics. Graphics in paint is ugly and there are plenty of websites that offer free graphics!
003. Credit people if you've used some of their ideas, graphics, etc!
004. Trashing guestbooks and cboxes is immature. Don't do it.
005. If you don't know how to use iframes, please don't.
006. Avoid having too many popups or ads. It ends up tacky in the end.
007. Try to update regularly!
008. Try not to use numbers or 'xo' in your website name. That's hard to remember.
009. Don't overdo the about me page. People will think that you're full of yourself. Just put some basic facts, but avoid your city, school, phone number, msn, etc.
010. Background music is a no-no. Have a player where the visitor can stop the music.
011. Piczo users: DON'T USE PICZO BACKGROUNDS/ MUSIC!!!
012. Write properly! Not like this: [EX: Yo wUd uP wHo iZ DiZ] It's ugly and tacky.
013. Be original!
