Homonym wars

Hehe, I enjoy this title; it's cool, like me, lmao, not. Anyways, I decided to write this because A) I am terribly bored right now and I should be making content, well, this kinda is content and B) It annoys me when people mix up these certain words. That's why I'm writing this, so don't get mad :)

Your vs. You're

This is a very annopying one. Okay first off: your: is a possesive noun meaning belonging to you. You're: the contraction of you are. Okay, so we have the meanings, two different things, right? Right. Okay, so we all understand that when we're writing Did your mom get back from the store?, we're not putting Did you're mom get back from the store? because that means Did you are mom get back from the store? and that doesn't make sense.

Were, we're and where

They're all totally different, too bad so many people mix them up. Let's go over what each means (in simple form of course):
were: past tense or are (are you going? / were you going?)
we're: the contraction of we are (we're going to go shopping)
where: what place (where is the keys?)

Just get it right already people; there are people in my grade who even screw this up and that's just plain sad. People don't take grammar and spelling seriously anymore. It's not funny, it's stupid and even though that's what we all think in school < "This is boring" >. I think it too, but it's still important to learn.

Canadian Spelling

Okay, I'm not going to nag about this much because not all of us are Canadian, but this is some words from American > Canadian.

Color > Colour
Gray > Grey
Favorite > Favourite

It just looks wierd to me in the American spelling, but it doesn't bother too much.

Conclusion

Sorry to nag, but some stuff just annoys me. And that's some of it; besides the Canadian Spelling. That doesn't bother me as much. But simple words like You're and Your shouldn't be mixed up if you learn it properly. Kaays?
